We've never left home for Christmas before. But, we were easily tempted by a gracious invite from my brother and sister in-law to join them in "the Hole" this year. Our kids are getting older and a destination Christmas seemed perfect. Time with family, time playing with cousins and all the snow and cold we could wish for. We all had a blast- even in our onesie pajamas. Traditions are hard to change, but this one seemed to work favorably. We appreciate their warm and loving hospitality- it was memorable.
roaring 20's
Simple on it's on. A 6th grade dress up day at Fairhope Intermediate School. We only had to buy a fresh boa to complete the flapper look. She looked beautiful with her hair gently pulled up and her green dress bringing out the green in her eyes. As she left the house, I had to pause to take a photograph. It was an effort to savor the last bit of little girl left in her.
