We've never left home for Christmas before. But, we were easily tempted by a gracious invite from my brother and sister in-law to join them in "the Hole" this year. Our kids are getting older and a destination Christmas seemed perfect. Time with family, time playing with cousins and all the snow and cold we could wish for. We all had a blast- even in our onesie pajamas. Traditions are hard to change, but this one seemed to work favorably. We appreciate their warm and loving hospitality- it was memorable.
Grand Teton Sunrise
Part of our summer adventure vacation was spent with family in Jackson, WY. It was so fun to stay put for one week. The week flew by- but, that just leaves us all wanting more! I was intentional on this trip to capture some of the amazing landscape scenery in new ways. In new light. In early light. In late light. I wanted to play with the mountains at times of the day that I'm not normally up and out with my camera. One of my challenges was a Grand Teton sunrise. I was sweetly and patiently escorted by my husband into the National Park (at 4:30am) to a spot known for it's morning sunrise glory. It was indeed just that! Magically transforming every second as the sun rose on the horizon. This was indeed a fantastic way to start a day.
