A Jackson Hole Christmas | Family Storytelling

We've never left home for Christmas before. But, we were easily tempted by a gracious invite from my brother and sister in-law to join them in "the Hole" this year. Our kids are getting older and a destination Christmas seemed perfect. Time with family, time playing with cousins and all the snow and cold we could wish for. We all had a blast- even in our onesie pajamas. Traditions are hard to change, but this one seemed to work favorably. We appreciate their warm and loving hospitality- it was memorable.

My very pregnant sister-in-law invited me to Pensacola for a storytelling documentary session. We walked their neighborhood, had lunch at Jerry's Drive In and worked on a family photograph for their Christmas card. She's beautiful inside/out, pregnant/not pregnant. I adore that she asked me to hang out with them with my camera in tow- just to capture them being them. A milestone moment that is documented. I wish everyone would do this. I crave this kind of photograghy- casual, candid, natural and honest. It's as if time stood still that afternoon.
